Our Philadelphia Marathon Runners: Meet Team EE!
This Sunday, November 23, we are thrilled to have the first ever Emily’s Entourage team running in the Philadelphia Marathon. We are so proud of the incredible group of people that have been training and fundraising in support of EE. We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to some of the runners you will be seeing on Sunday! Lee Trope
Where do you live? San Francisco, CA
Are you running the full or half marathon? Half
How did you become involved with EE? I’ve known Emily since I was 2 years old! She was my first friend 🙂
Have you run any marathons or half marathons before? I’ve run the New York and Chicago Marathons, the Brooklyn, Sonoma and Fairfield half marathons.
Favorite PRE-race ritual? Pasta!
What are you most looking forward to POST-race? A nice bath at the Jacuzzi at my parent’s house
What music will you listen to while running? I have this Ipod Nano that connects to the radio, so mostly the radio!
Favorite food? I love cereal!
Favorite running shoes? Brooks
Favorite season for running and why? Summer. I like the heat!
Julie Zibelman
Where do you live? Gladwyne, PA
Are you running the full or half marathon? Half
How did you become involved with EE? I met Emily through work. I didn’t even know she was Emily of “EE.” Then, I kept seeing Emily’s Entourage on Facebook, at the Narberth Run, etc and finally I put the name together with the person. After that, becoming involved wasn’t a question. If I had more time, more involvement wouldn’t be a question either.
Have you run any marathons or half marathons before? 2 halfs – the distance runs in Philly
Favorite PRE-race ritual? Big bowl of pasta the night before
Favorite food? Vanilla cake
Favorite TV shows? Law and Order
Favorite running shoes? Newtons
Favorite season for running and why? Fall, easy and breezy

Where do you live? Washington, DC
Are you running the full or half marathon? Half
How did you become involved with EE? Through Emily and her inspiring family- I have known them since I was born!
Have you run any marathons or half marathons before? I ran a half in Portland Maine in 2009!
Favorite food? Pizza and french fries (health food!)
Favorite season for running and why? Autumn- perfect running weather when it’s sunny and cool.

Where do you live? Merion Station, PA
Are you running the full or half marathon? Half
What are you most looking forward to POST-race? Eating a huge breakfast and then hibernating for the winter
What music will you listen to while running? The country station on Pandora
Favorite TV shows? Breaking Bad!
Favorite running shoes? I have really small feet…. So I’ll take whatever brand comes in my size!
Favorite season for running and why? I love running in the winter! For some reason I actually like that weird burny sensation your lungs get when its too cold… plus I overheat way too fast in the summer

Amanda Foskett
Where do you live? Washington, D.C.
Are you running the full or half marathon? The full marathon
How did you become involved with EE? I went to high school with Emily and have been friends ever since. I am beyond excited to help out by running for team EE!
Have you run any marathons or half marathons before? Chicago in 2012 and Marine Corps in DC in 2013.
What music will you listen to while running? Anything upbeat–from hip hop to dance jams, dub-step and indie rock…and sometimes some old school Backstreet Boys for good measure.
Favorite food? Mac ‘n’ cheese. I am looking forward to eating lots of this after the marathon!

Where do you live? Philadelphia, PA
Are you running the full or half marathon? Half marathon
How did you become involved with EE? I heard all about EE from Jess & Beth Rutstein
Have you run any marathons or half marathons before? I ran the 2014 Philadelphia Rock N Roll half marathon, I recently ran the Baltimore marathon and I have run half marathons in the past.
What are you most looking forward to POST-race? BRUNCH

How did you become involved with EE? I learned about Emily’s Entourage through my cousin Jessica, one of Emily’s best friends. When I heard Emily’s Entourage was looking for runners, I couldn’t wait to get involved to show my support for such an amazing cause and an inspiring young woman!
Have you run any marathons or half marathons before? Yes! My favorite was running the Comrades marathon in South Africa.
Favorite PRE-race ritual? Eating a banana and toast with peanut butter.

Where do you live? Wynnewood, PA
Are you running the full or half marathon? Half
Have you run any marathons or half marathons before? I ran in the Philly half marathon last year for the first time. So excited this year since I will be running with my son Jason, who is running his first half marathon.
Favorite PRE-race ritual? It’s too early in the morning to have any ritual other than getting there on time!
What are you most looking forward to POST-race? A hot bath and a sports massage
What music will you listen to while running? I have a running playlist that I listen to all the time and I added Tom Petty’s “Running Down a Dream” to listen to during the last half mile!
