Emily Speaks at Doctors 2.0 & You in Paris
This week, Emily is so honored to be bringing the best of Emily’s Entourage to the 6th annual Doctors 2.0 & You, Europe’s premier digital health event and Emily’s very first international talk!

Launched in 2011 in Paris, Doctors 2.0 is a multi-cultural environment for all of healthcare stakeholders, including patients, to share collaborative digital tools, strategies and results. The conference is unique in its patient-centric approach and it’s focus on digital tools for improving the lives of patients all around the world. In fact, it was the first health care conference to officially become “patient-included.”
In her talk, entitled “A Lesson in Participatory Research for a Rare Mutation of Cystic Fibrosis”, Emily will speak about disruption out of desperation — how storytelling has been key to disrupting biomedicine for Emily’s Entourage and how social media is the ultimate amplifier of those stories.
Emily will highlight the way Emily’s Entourage has leveraged “social storytelling” to raise over $2 million for medical research, put rare nonsense mutations of CF on the research radar, and drive a strategic research agenda. Her talk will be delivered to a live audience of over four hundred attendees. It comes at the end of a month-long Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month social media campaign.
Emily was also thrilled to judge a healthcare start-up contest as part of an international jury.
