Your health and safety are our top priority. Therefore, Emily’s Entourage (EE) requires that all attendees be fully up-to-date on their vaccinations and boosters against COVID-19 at least two weeks prior to the gala. If you have any questions about your vaccination status, we encourage you to seek guidance on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website.
Monarch butterflies are best known for their legendary migration each fall, called “one of the greatest natural phenomena in the world.” This year, they were added to the endangered species list.
We were struck by the parallels of these butterflies with the rareness of the final 10% of the cystic fibrosis (CF) community and the power of our Entourage to achieve the seemingly impossible.
This year’s gala theme, “The Flight of the Monarch,” was inspired by the concept of metamorphosis. There have been profound developments in the therapeutic pipeline for the final 10% of the CF community and at EE.
For the first time, multiple therapies are advancing to clinic for people with nonsense mutations of CF. Finally, transformative change is upon us.
Now is our time to emerge from the chrysalis, ready to spread our wings and fly.

SULL'ENTOURAGE DI EMILY
Emily’s Entourage is an innovative 501(c)3 that accelerates research for new treatments and a cure for individuals in the final 10% of the cystic fibrosis (CF) population that do not benefit from currently available mutation-targeted therapies, including those with nonsense mutations of CF. Since 2011, Emily’s Entourage has awarded millions of dollars in research grants, launched a CF gene therapy company acquired by a pharmaceutical company, developed a patient registry and clinical trial matchmaking program to accelerate clinical trial recruitment, and led worldwide efforts to drive high-impact research and drug development.
