EE håller 4:e årliga cocktailmottagningen på NACFC i Nashville
Emily’s Entourage (EE) is excited to be hosting its 4th Annual, invitation-only Cocktail Reception at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference (NACFC) on November 1, 2019. Emily and her family will be leading this event along with key EE leadership, including Scientific Director, Pete Haggie, PhD. This year, EE is particularly looking forward to hosting in the iconic Nashville, TN!
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is holding this year’s NACFC at the Nashville Music City Center from October 31 through November 2, 2019. The annual conference brings together over 5,000 Cystic Fibrosis (CF) clinicians, scientists, researchers, and caregivers in one space to discuss the latest CF research, care, and drug development. The hope is to exchange ideas that would improve upon the health and wellness for people with CF. EE is extremely grateful to the CFF for the opportunity to host this reception for the 4th year in a row.
The relevance and urgency of EE’s laser-focused mission to speed breakthroughs and a cure for nonsense mutations of CF is more critical than ever before.
This year’s EE reception brings together over 85 CF researchers, scientists, families, and representatives from pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The purpose of the event is to celebrate EE’s achievements to date, recognize and honor the outstanding scientific community, cultivate new connections and the exchange of ideas, and ultimately, to spur fast progress for new therapeutics for nonsense mutations of CF.
The reception occurs at a particularly integral moment for the CF community with the FDA’s recent approval of a triple combination therapy, Trikafta, for 90% of the CF community that share at least one copy of the most common CF genetic mutation, F508del. Those with nonsense mutations of CF are part of the outlying 10% that do not benefit from this new therapy. The relevance and urgency of EE’s laser-focused mission to speed breakthroughs and a cure for nonsense mutations of CF is more critical than ever before.
EE is grateful to the CFF for the opportunity to host this reception for the 4th year at NACFC. and looks forward to interacting with both new and familiar faces at this year’s reception.
